Features of the Ace 400I:

Search frequency:
With its 10 KHZ search frequency, the Ace 400i has a higher search frequency than the earlier ACE models (6.5 KHZ - Ace 150, Ace 250, Euroace) and the Ace 200i and 300I. The advantage of this 10 KHZ higher search frequency is even better sensitivity for low and medium conductive objects (gold, lead etc.).

Numerical object identification (scale 1 - 99)
The Ace 400i metal detector has access to both segment bar object identification and numerical object identification (1-99) . As soon as this metal detector detects an object, you hear an audio tone and a number is shown in the centre of the display. Each number represents a metal type / object type. (For example, value '75' can be a euro coin and value '15' iron) This allows you to learn to identify objects. As an additional aid, an indicator bar also appears simultaneously at the top of the display below the segment bar. This segment bar shows which type of metal the object is most likely to be. In addition, the Ace400i features 3x audio pitch object identification. The metal detector then gives three different audio tones for the different types of metal, different for each conductivity. A low tone for iron, a medium tone for gold and other objects and a high tone for silver.

Depth, sensitivity and discriminate:
You can set the sensitivity (= sensitivity/depth) yourself, as well as the discrimination. (possibility to discriminate unwanted objects such as nails and beer caps).
The Ace 400i's iron discrimination is very accurate and improved compared to the earlier Ace series.

Pinpoint
The Garrett Ace 400i has an additional pinpoint function. This is a tool for precisely locating objects. It allows you to determine the location of the object better and you will have less work digging up the object.

Notch
The Notch function offers you the possibility of very precise discrimination, and thus elimination of unwanted objects (guides), down to a specific level. This ensures that you have the possibility of having to dig up significantly less debris.

Frequency / intervention
To avoid interference with other metal detectors and electronics, the Ace 400i offers the possibility to shift the frequency slightly, a frequency changer. Very handy feature if you suffer from interference you simply switch frequencies.

Search coil:
The Ace400i features a waterproof DD search coil of a slightly larger size (21.5 xm x 28 cm) for extra high performance, only the display is not waterproof. You can therefore use the Garrett Ace detector in shallow water, as long as the display does not get wet. Even during a rain shower, you should protect your display with a display protection cover. (Moisture damage is not covered by the warranty)

Reaction speed
This metal detector excels, in its price class, especially in its depth range and its fast reaction speed. The higher the reaction speed, the faster and more objects the detector can recognise. The latter is especially important if there are several objects right next to each other. Many other metal detectors in this price range will then only give you one signal. You will notice with the Ace 400i that it is very good at quickly identifying multiple metal objects....

Iron Audio
The Iron audio function is an option that allows you to adjust the audio volume for iron, this allows you to hear the iron signal better or, if desired, turn it off completely, which means you will no longer hear an audio tone if iron is detected. This feature contributes to better recognition of iron objects. The advantage of Iron Audio over the discriminate function is that you keep the depth range. With discrimination, this always decreases somewhat!

Depth range
With the powerful elliptical and waterproof 17 x 25 cm (7 x 10 inch) search coil, you will be able to achieve a good depth range; up to 30 cm for coin-sized objects, up to a maximum of 1 metre for large objects.
